An understated facade hides the fantastically decadent cupcakes of Tease, just recently moved to Príncipe Real, right next to Praça das Flores. Though you might initially miss it, the inside of the store will certainly make an impact. Known as the rock-n-roll bakery, and decorated with wonderful antiques bought from the nearby antique dealers, like the chandeliers over the counter, Tease is where Lisbonites get their cupcake fix.
Originally opened five years ago in the bustling Bairro Alto district, Tease changed its location to Príncipe Real and has added to its menu – besides the famous cakes and cupcakes – soups, nachos and bruschettas, which makes it perfect for a quick lunch.
To the traditional brownies and cupcakes with Nutella, lemon, dulce de leche, banana and Oreo, Tease has added chocolate croissants, crepes and waffles.
