Sea Me is one of the coolest places serving fish in Lisbon. They reinterpret the concept of traditional fish restaurants that exist in one’s mind and transform it into an unashamedly cool and contemporary ambience. With fish and seafood at its core, Sea Me sets out to discover the vast fauna of the Portuguese coastline, selecting only prime ingredients. Also a part of Sea Me is Peixaria Moderna, which literally translates to “Modern Fish Market”, where you can buy fresh fish to cook at home.

The dining experience proves to be a very fun one, you can go for an informal and uncomplicated dinner in the hip Chiado neighbourhood. Stepping into the stylish and buzzing dining room you’ll immediately understand the vibe of this place, and you’ll spot a sushi bar in the back and an open kitchen. This sushi bar is one of the most important parts of the experience here, as Chef Filipe Rodrigues brings an Asian influence to traditional Portuguese dishes. You can experience it with the sublime grilled sardine nigiri – a classic with an Asian twist. Of course, cod is also in the mix, and you should definitely try the confit cod in olive oil with potatoes, and you really can’t go wrong with the catch of the day which is always fresh and delicious.
If you’re not a fish person, do not despair – you can still experience this wonderful atmosphere and order a “prego do lombo em bolo do caco”, a steak sandwich in bolo do caco bread (from Madeira islands) with garlic butter. Fish or no fish, this is a winner either way!
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights it stays open until 2 am, with a live DJ providing the entertainment and Sea Me providing the fantastic gastronomic experiences accompanied by drinks and cocktails.
And, if you’re curious, do ask the waiters about the text on their t-shirts – they’re super fun!
Perfect to hang out with some friends at night or just have a great fish & seafood meal, Sea Me is definitely one of the coolest restaurants in Lisbon and well worth a visit when you’re in town.
