“Poeira is a dream come true, every day”, says Mónica Penaguião, founder of Poeira, a Portuguese interior design company.
Having first started her “business” in 1981 at just 15 years old, Mónica sold stuff she liked – buttons, tables, sofas – in a space lent to her by her uncle in the street of Janelas Verdes.
Today, Poeira has grown to achieve great international success, expanding to other streets, cities, countries and continents.
Working on projects for both private clients and big companies, Poeira works only with the highest quality providers and nothing is left to chance.
For fabrics, Mónica chooses Ralph Lauren, Missoni, Designers Guild, Elitis, Kvadrat, Osborne & Little, Manuel Canovas, De La Cuona, Etro, Pedroso e Osório, C&C Milano, JRJ and Empório Beraldini.
For wallpapers, she works with Cole & Son, Ralph Lauren, Designers Guild, Nina Campbell, Osborne & Little, Wall & Deco, De Gournay and Elitis.
For lighting, a few highlights are Flos, Artemide, Metalarte, Ingo Maurer, Modular Lighting, Kreon, Jieldé, Established and Sons, Tom Dixon, Foscarini, Azimut Industries and Oluce.
As for furniture, the chosen ones are Cappellini, Vitra, Knoll, Fiam, Edra, Extremis, Driade, Carl Hansen & Son, Sphaus, Marten Baas, Fornasetti, Piet Hein Eek, Established and Sons, Sé London, Baleri, Zanotta, among many others.
