One of the greatest Portuguese actors of all-time, Joaquim de Almeida rose to international fame with his portrayals of Félix Cortez in the 1994 thriller Clear and Present Danger and Bucho in the 1995 action thriller Desperado. His intense performances launched him into a successful career, as almost a decade after he played the role of Ramon Salazar, Jack Bauer's antagonist in 24, and in 2011 as Hernan Reyes in Fast Five.
