This exhibition, of the largest international prize for photojournalism, displays images by 43 photographers from 25 countries, according to Visão magazine, which organizes the exhibition in partnership with the World Press Photo Foundation
The winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 78,801 photographs entered by 4,738 photographers from 129 countries.
Among the winners is the image of the Portuguese photojournalist Mário Cruz, awarded in the Environment category with the title "Living Among What's Left Behind", the result of a personal project developed on communities in Manila, Philippines, living without basic sanitary infrastructures and surrounded by waste.
