World Press Photo Exhibition 2019

From 27th April to 19th May, visit the World Press Photo Exhibition 2019 on its world-wide tour showcasing the photography works from the 62nd annual World Press Photo contest.

The exhibition, featuring the biggest international award of photojournalism, showcases work photography from 43 photographers, from 25 countries,

This exhibition, of the largest international prize for photojournalism, displays images by 43 photographers from 25 countries, according to Visão magazine, which organizes the exhibition in partnership with the World Press Photo Foundation

The winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 78,801 photographs entered by 4,738 photographers from 129 countries.

Among the winners is the image of the Portuguese photojournalist Mário Cruz, awarded in the Environment category with the title "Living Among What's Left Behind", the result of a personal project developed on communities in Manila, Philippines, living without basic sanitary infrastructures and surrounded by waste.
