Ton Koopman

Ton Koopman has been an authority and a passionate promoter on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Now Koopman, returns to Gulbenkian for two concerts with Gulbenkian Orchestra, making a rare exploration beyond an imaginary line of interest he drew on the date of Mozart’s death, with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2.

Joining Ton Koopman will be Alexei Volodin, a pianist whose mastery combines his expressive impetuous flashes with the highest lyricism.
