This will be a genuine feast of Mozart with the young sensation Elsa Dreisig. This Danish soprano first caught the world’s attention when, in 2016, she won the first prize in the Operália contest, created by Plácido Domingo. Since then, she has been in great demand, appearing at some of the world’s leading concert venues, and now coming to Lisbon accompanied by the young and highly acclaimed Israeli conductor Daniel Cohen, famous for his association with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra project, who has also worked with Daniel Barenboim and Pierre Boulez. At the Lucerne Festival Academy, Daniel Cohen worked directly with Péter Eötvös, Susanna Mälkki, Pablo Heras-Casado and David Robertson, and, since then, he has been associated with some of the most important world orchestras.
Two of today’s most highly regarded young musicians will be joining together to celebrate Mozart with the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra.
